I became a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern after a 20 year successful career in the high tech industry. I bring from this background an understanding of stresses that can arise and how they can affect our relationships.
As you consider choosing me for your therapist, you will want to know that I am qualified to provide the help you want. The following are highlights of the education, experience, current clinical activities and affiliations that I draw on in serving my clients. I am practicing at Holos Institute under the supervision of
Jan Edl Stein, LMFT #MFT25863.
My approach to psychotherapy is based on relational psychology and informed by latest research in attachment theory. The latest findings in neuroscience tell us that safe and trusting relationships are crucial to our mental well-being. When relating to a skilled and emotionally attuned therapist, inner defenses can begin to soften allowing underlying psychological wounds to emerge and be attended to. As a relational psychotherapist, I will offer this type of experience. In addition to being relationally focused, I integrate Jungian perspective to therapy. In Jungian psychotherapy, our problems are understood in the context of the whole person. Softening our defenses helps us see all parts of our personalities and teaches us to accept and integrate all our parts. This integration results in us living an authentic life as oneself.
